Gulf News - Relax, Don't Do It: Massage Can Be a Crime in Dubai

Massage is considered an alternative medicine or another means of relaxation especially to the people who is working hard as it relaxes muscle tissues and increase joint spaces. In a busy city like Dubai, you can almost see it anywhere. But if you want to experience a good massage, beware of massage parlors who offers this service because some of them are unlicensed.

If a person gets a massage from outside a licensed centre by someone who has license to perform it, then he could face jail if arrested. If he is an expatriate, the penalty may also include deportation.

Taking it as a risk may be simply considered as a crime in sexual nature. In public places, you can see woman randomly offers massage by giving business cards within passers-by.
